PE and Sport Premium
It is Government policy to get more people playing sport (policy details can be found here ).
In order to get more children playing sport in schools, extra funding called the PE and Sport Premium has been allocated to primary schools in order to "...help primary schools improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils." Below you can read about how much money we have been allocated, what we are spending the money on, and what the impact has been on our school and our pupils.
Our school have a well-deserved reputation for providing an excellent sport offer. We aim to ensure that every child is active every day, that they develop a love of active lifestyles and that they all represent school at sport while they are at our school. We have been commended in our efforts by the Sports Minister and you can see his letter below.

Swimming Provision
We are committed to ensuring all pupils develop essential swimming and water safety skills. As part of our curriculum, all Year 5 pupils take part in a structured swimming programme delivered by qualified instructors. This provision supports children to build confidence in the water while working towards national curriculum swimming expectations. If you have any questions about what we do or the curriculum that is followed by our children, please contact one of the PE Leads via the school office. These are Mr Walker and Mrs Waddington.
